Congratulations to our Tara North, our Office Manager who gave birth to a beautiful daughter on November 24, 2009. Peyton Sarah is the latest of the Cole Harbour Chiropractic babies, and will learn lots from Carter, Anna, Luke and Kaeden.
Welcome to Flo Sabean, who will be replacing Tara as Office Manager during her maternity leave.

Meet Our Staff

Dr. Stephen Godin, BSc., DC.
Chiropractor
Dr. Godin graduated from McMaster University in Hamilton with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology. In 2001, he completed his training at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto.
Dr. Godin graduated Cum Laude with Clinical Honours, and was the recipient of the CMCC President’s Award, CCA President’s Award, and the Jurisprudence Award.
Dr. Godin is a member of the Nova Scotia College of Chiropractors, and has been

involved in the Pack It Light, Wear It Right Backpack Safety initiative. He has made written contributions to several newspapers and magazines including the Dartmouth Laker and the Parent-Child Guide.
Dr. Godin is a member of the Canadian and Nova Scotia Colleges of Chiropractic Sports Sciences, the Sports Medicine Council of Nova Scotia and the Federation Internationale Chiropractique du Sport (F.I.C.S.). He has been involved in treating injured athletes at several events including the Lake Banook Triatholon, Provinical Wrestling and Regional Track and Field Championships.

Dr. Tracy Payne, BSc., DC.
Chiropractor
Dr. Payne is a native of Newfoundland and holds a biochemistry degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland.
She graduated Cum Laude from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2001.
During her studies Dr. Payne received the John M. Wallace Award for academic achievement and the Jurisprudence Award.

Dr. Payne is a member of the Canadian Chiropractic Association and the Nova Scotia College of Chiropractors. Along with her husband, Dr. Stephen Godin and their children Luke and Anna, she enjoys the outdoors, including walking, canoeing and ski-dooing.

Dr. Karen Sullivan, BSc.Kin., D.C.
Chiropractor
Dr. Karen Sullivan was born and raised in Stephenville, Newfoundland. In 2002, she completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Dalhousie University and graduated with distinction.
In 2006, Dr. Sullivan completed her chiropractic training at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto and graduated Cum Laude with Clinical Honours. In addition to the chiropractic curriculum, |

Chiropractors and the Canadian Chiropractic Association.
In her spare time, Dr. Sullivan enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her husband Sean and son Carter who was born in August of 2008.

Janice Smith, MT.
Massage Therapist
Janice is registered with the Massage Therapy Association of Nova Scotia and uses a variety of massage techniques including myofascial release and cranio-sacral therapy.
She has eight years of experience working with a wide spectrum of conditions from neck and low back pain, to motor vehicle injuries like whiplash.
She is currently working toward her Diploma in Osteopathy. |
Janice and her husband Jeff have a young son named Kayden and live in Cole Harbour.

Leeann Meredith, BSc., MT.
Massage Therapist
Leeann graduated from Dalhousie University with a degree in Kinesiology in 2000. In 2003 she graduated from Northhumberland College with an Honours in Massage Therapy.
She uses a combination of general swedish massage techniques with myofascial release, stretching and strengthening exercises.

She enjoys being active, teaching fitness classes, running, biking and other outdoor activities.

Tara North
Chiropractic Office Manager
Tara joined our team in November 2008 from a diverse background. After spending seven years in the Canadian Navy she completed her Business Administration Diploma in Accounting.
Tara has since worked as a Finance Manager and is currently completing her Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting.

| Tara is energetic and loves working with others. She has enjoyed the benefits of chiropractic care for over 10 years, and it continues to help her live a healthy, active life. Her hobbies include reading, sailing and camping with her husband David. Tara is currently on maternity leave and enjoying time with her daughter Peyton, born November 24, 2009. |

Carolyn Pettipas
Chiropractic Health Assistant
Carolyn joined our team in March 2008 after retiring from the provincial government, ending a career of 35+ years. One month of retirement was long enough!
She moved to Cole Harbour in 1985 and has watched it grow from a narrow road to the bustling community it is today.

| She was born in Annapolis Royal "a longtime ago" and graduated as part of a single grade 12 class from the old Darmouth High School on Ochterloney St. She went on to pursue further education, employment with a bank and finally a career with the Dept. of Community Services.
Her hobbies are spending time with friends, singing bass with the ScotianAires and being involved with the many activities at Forest Hills United Church. |
